This 3-day/2 night Kanlaon Trek Program is the shortest possible tour itinerary one can avail of for weekenders. For this Program, the client is expected to arrive in Bacolod City by late afternoon/or early evening of Day-1, and departure back to point of origin by late afternoon of Day 3.
SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 01
Arrive Bacolod City
(either late afternoon/or early evening)
Reception at airport/ seaport by representative of concerned Tour Operator/Agency
Depart Bacolod City for Guintubdan
Dinner and Overnight stay at Guintubdan
Day 02
Very early morning breakfast
Pack-up and proceed to start the trek
(This normally requires climbers to start the trek at as early as 4:00 in the morning when the temperature is cool enough for the trek).
Lunch (along the trail/usually in one of the camp sites)
Establish camp for the night upon reaching “Pagatpat Ridge”. (Form this point, the summit-crater is about an hour and a half away, but the Guide’s discretion is highly advisable)
Dinner by campfire
Day 03
Early morning breakfast
Assault/conquest the summit (enjoy that brief and fleeting moments of triumph at the peak, as well as the view of the vast plains of the sugarland, Cebu, Guimaras and Iloilo)
Descend back to Guitubdan (via Pagatpat Ridge)
Lunch (along the trail)
Proceed back to Bacolod City/Trans-out to airport-seaport
