MT. KANLAON BIRDWATCH TOURS

Mt. Kanlaon Natural Park, with its vast jungles covering nearly 25,000 hectares in area is home to a number of endemic and indigenous species of birdlife which include the Spotted Imperial Pigeon; the Bleeding Heart Pigeon; the Slender-billed Cuckoo Dove; the Peregrina Falcon; the Philippine Sparrow Hawk; the Serpent Eagle; and the elusive Negros Fruit Dove, which is believed to have become extinct. Add to these are the numerous species of Owls, Warblers, Woodpeckers, Parrots and Flycatchers.

This tour offers a two-day visit to Mt. Kanlaon Natural Park for the thrill and pleasure of Birdwatching activity deep within the lush of tropical forests of the Park.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 01

• Arrive in Bacolod City
• Reception at airport-seaport by representative of Tour Operator/Travel Agency
  (Option: Standard City Tour of Bacolod City)
• Depart Bacolod City
• Proceed to Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental
• Lunch at Mambukal Resort
• Depart Mambukal for the DENR Entrance Station at Wasay. From the Station, the group proceeds to designated campsite for overnight camp.
• Dinner at Campsite

Day 02

• Breakfast at Campsite
• Birdwatching activity begins
• Depart campsite and proceed back to Mambukal Resort
• Free time at the Resort
• Lunch at Mambukal Resort
• After lunch, depart Mambukal back to Bacolod city
• Transfer-out to airport/seaport
• Depart Bacolod City
• End of Tour
